He guys, I had someone ask me to make a how to video on high speed polishing. Its not the greatest quality but its an hour long with a lot of basic information. I thought I would share it with everyone here. Hopefully someone can learn something from it. Its unscripted. Anyway here is a link. All feedback is welcome. I'm getting a new camera real soon and plan to make a nicer one. This is just a basic one for now.

Great Barry.... Thanks

Now after watching this vid I am going to have my wife asking me where was I for the past hour.

Good info, now hopefully some bananahead does not try to go out and do the items in this vid without practicing on some junk panels first.

Nice video Barry!

If you upload it to youtube you will probably get more views (and maybe some free advertisement).

I tried, but its 58 minutes long and you can only uplaod 10 minutes to youtube. I really didn't do this for advertisement.,

can you make a download link? Would like a video to keep.

click on the link above and you can download it from the link. There is a little hard drive looking thingy lol

Great info thanks Barry , Download would be great and I would really like to see the burnishing video as well

What special effect are you using in the end for the before and after Barry? That is sick how you make the sun disappear on the left-side!! The M in M205 stands for Magic! :lol

Seriously nice video Barry. Finally a resource for beginners to use that is coming from a master-source that doesn't have pages of text. Great job!!

This isn't the easiest way to download it, but if you're using firefox, you can get an addon called "download helper" DownloadHelper - Media download Firefox extension It will put an icon with a dropdown arrow next to it. Simply click on the the dropdown arrow and it will show you any streaming video that you can download on the page (works great for youtube).

Once downloaded, you need something to watch it with. I find that VLC player (it's free) VLC media player for Windows works best.

Oh and by the way, GREAT video Barry!

Barry very nice video i really like to see the other one next. I did pickup a few things on the use of the rotary. Be sending you a pm sometime in the next month or so or in middle of feb.

very nice video man. one thing i saw that i have always been taught not to do. BUT i have only been doing this a year and am in no way claiming i am right. but i have always been taught to leave the buffer flat while you polish and not to tilt it. whats your thoughts on this?

i shared this video with a local car forum as well so they can learn a little!

Barry,

Thanks for taking the time to post this video. It shows the basics of what needs to be done and in the proper order.

Do you have any other videos showing the proper detailing methods for a more modern color coat / clear coat finish? I'd like to see how glazes and sealants are used and any particular tips that you'd be willing to share with us.

Thanks again,

Bob

I jus wanna say Thank you for posting this like many others, I have learn a great amount of knowledge from you. I enjoy all your amazing work. one day I wish to be at your level, but meantime you have a great 2010.

Hey Barry,

Thank you for taking the time to make this video for those of us just getting started. It really helps.

I do have two questions: I couldn't make out what wax product you used and you didn't mention preparing your finishing pads with water like you did your polishing pad. Do you?

Thank you again, Ken
