Help!! remove oil from leather?

I just bought a used mercedes with grey leather. I didn't notice it until later but there are tire marks as someone loaded a tire in the rear seat and I guess it had oil on it or something. There is a light yellow imprint from the tire on the rear seat and all around. What is the best method to remove this???? I tried some letherique and it did nothing! I am thinking maybe steaming it out? Is the only option to have it re-dyed? HELP!!!

Thanks in advance

Sean

Have you tried Woolite and water mixed about 6:1 (6 parts water)? That's a good mix to clean leather, but I'm not sure if it will take out those stains or not, but it might be worth a try.

ok I will try that. I need to clean the suede on the seats, so I will be picking up some in about 20 minutes. I tried using leatherique and it did nothing. Any other options if the woolite doesn't work?? Thanks! I really really would love to get it out it is such an eyesore on my "new car" (preowned). thanks again, Sean

Hmmmm, not sure I'd use that on suede..... you might want to do a Google search on "cleaning suede".

I read before that you can use woolite as well to clean it from a search- so I am going to do that. My girlfriend got deodorant on the suede. BTW the car is an 05 mercedes c55 if that matters regarding the motor oil stain removal from the light grey leather. Thanks again, Sean

I could be wrong, but I dont think the C55 uses suede. Im pretty sure its Alcantra. The headliner is definitely Alcantra. And judging that the E63 uses an Alcantra headliner and inserts, I cant see the C55 using suede.

There may be specific way to clean that material.

Interesting. I just did 1:20 with woolite (regular) and it worked just fine removing the stuff and didn't leave any stains whatsoever. I don't know if it's alcantara or suede but I only have it on the seats not on the headliner.
