HELP me find a interior dusting Brush

I`ve looked on/off for a couple years now. I have not put THAT much effort to find ~the one~.
I`m looking for a particular brush.

I actually have old ones that I keep in the car trunks. Use it daily just sweeping out the carmats, etc - aka, helps keep the interior nice and tidy. The bristles can`t be too soft as its mainly a carpet sweeper brush.

Surely, I`m not the only one who drives around with a brush in the trunk.

no Really

I do know people that ride around with a brush and I have a friend that will also brush the bottom of your feet before entering his vehicles

Most of the ones I`ve seen are either natural (meant for dusting)....
Not looking for plastic fibers...well, maybe flagged plastic fibers. Just tensile enough for carpet and working the small little nooks.

Huh, I just vacuum regularly. I can`t see how I`d do it with a brush, seems like I`d still have to vacuum up whatever the brush dislodges.

Do you pull the carpeted mats out and brush them away from the vehicle? Then what do you do for the other carpeted stuff? I mean, OK my dog-haulers are special-cases, but the Audis are mostly used like regular vehicles and I can`t see how I could skip vacuuming `em after every few uses.

Somehow I`m just not following this one... :o School me please!

Yes, do vacumn. Brush is mainly sorta those - parked while waiting for the wife as she`s doing some grocery shopping, shoes picking up gravel, etc that can easily just be brushed/swept out. etc. Easy peasy and keeps the mats debris free.

My understanding is the brush is for the times when he is away from home or doesn`t want to bring out the vacuum. The California duster for carpeting:)

What about a dust pan/brush combo that is at every cleaning aisle of a big box store?

Big enough to be effective on large areas. Bristles are usually quite stout. I have an "O Cedar" brand brush that I use to dislodge burnt debris from my wood pellet stove. Has lasted over 7 years doing very tough cleaning vs your light duty carpet dusting:)

mobiledynamics- Ah, OK, thanks...knew I was missing something :D Guess it`s been a while since I dealt with those gravel parking lots at the U.

why don`t you just order the brush in the picture? :idea

That was just a quick google image search to show the handle/shape.
It`s all about the bristles , and yeah, the one I pulled up might work ....

For something like that, going to carve out some time on Amazon for something like that. Easy hassle free returns if it`s not the ~one~, etc. Figured there was a ~autopian go to one~ that us die hard cleaning guys go for.

Then again, for wheels on cleaning, I seem to be the only one that likes the the Ace Powersticks so maybe there is not a Autopian consensus on all things.

So I am not sure exactly If I understand you use but:

I vacuum to get the loose stuff, brush with a medium deck brush to dislodge the stuck on debris and vacuum again. Then if I am feeling like going to town (or getting paid for the interior) I use an extractor.

Huh, how stuff changes over time....my Counter Brushes are *really* soft and fine, not even close to what I`d need to do carpeted mats. Like...more for sawdust or fine metal chips on a wooden workbench.

I don`t vacuum much anymore, just open the doors on both sides and blow everything out with a leaf blower including the vents which a vacuum can never do ;)

Maybe I just have the wrong vehicles for it, but I still don`t the get the forced-air approach, though it can be good for carpeted mats (once they`ve been removed from the vehicle).

After spending a lot of time getting dust/etc. out of barely accessible nooks and crannies, I`m leery of blowing stuff around lest it get back into those hard-to-access areas. How do you control where it goes?

Don`t you have to extract, or at least vacuum, cloth upholstery to get dirt out of it?

I`ve never understood how blowing the vents out can work...doesn`t the dirt get forced down into the ductwork? To either accumulate down in there (and maybe retain moisture or cause valve/flapper issues) or else get blown right back to the outlets? The dirt on my vent swabs is something I want to get out of there and throw away.

I mean...I see it as exactly the same as vacuuming/extracting/dusting the house. Sure don`t blow stuff around in there...I vacuum, extract, and dust with various cloths/brushes/swabs. Same thing IMO...carpets, wood, metal, upholstery, glass. Like, I don`t blow dust down into my household HVAC registers, I clean the dirt out of them.

Don`t mean the above as contentious, just *do not get it*. I see a vehicle`s interior as a mobile room, and I basically treat interiors the same as I do any other room. For the most part, I use the same products, same tools, same approaches.

Blow out first then wipe/brush down dash. Start with the floor, under seats then roof liner then seats and dash, vents.
For quick interior cleans force air is the only way, vacuuming takes too long for weekly interior cleans.
I am talking average dirt, not filthy or annual cleaning.

Eeeks....now we all have different levels of clean, but I can`t wrap my ahead around using a blower on a interior. Granted, it IS MUCH faster but at what expense. The smaller particulates probably fly everywhere and some don`t make out the car and settle back in. So IMO, once it`s settled.....that stuff could of/would have been vaced in the 1st place.

Don`t know if the ID/OD of the nozzle head will work on your makes/models but my 4 tools when I vac are:

Miele Mini Powerbrush (rotating nozzle head that is about 6" wide)
Mini Nozzle Kit (get`s in all the nooks and crannies - comes with both brush and super small mini crevice tools)
For the hard to reach between the seats/console, Crevice head that is about 24" long and the material is not hard plastic but soft so it can contour.

Once again, different people are have different situations and different approaches to manage them.

Eh, guess I vacuum all the time; if one drive makes it necessary the vacuum is sitting there ready to go, only takes a moment. Maybe it comes from the dog-hauling, I`m just used to having to do some interior cleanup most every time a vehicle gets used. I spend a lot more time on the glass than I do on vacuuming, and that`s after almost every use.
