Hello again, who is still here?

While it is somewhat true this forum does not have a full-fledged 'authorized" admin, GearHead_1 has been acting as one as best he can with the limited forum admin rights so granted him and he has done a pretty good job of it.
If I'm not mistaken, GearHead is an old Detail City moderator.

I have no idea what has happened on the back side of the forum but I have seen several new sign-ups lately.
Really?? That's bizarre, is it possible PBMG finally put someone in charge of the forums? I know someone from the OPT forum had contacted me (at the OPT forum) because he wanted to join AGO, but could never get approved. I guess that was early this year, after the software change.

Setec Astronomy- Correct.

TGates- Don't need any more of that EFCP do you? IIRC, that's the stuff I sent you, but I guess it's been a while and it's hard to remember...

That was me, and that was the stuff! I'm not quite the detail spray junkie I used to be as I learned a hard lesson about using those to spruce up dusty cars, but I do still use them for clay lube and as drying aids!

That was the old saw about the Corvette shows, the guys swirling up their 'Vettes wiping them down with Z6.

At least you could see what was happening with Z6. There is a ton of stuff out there (still) with fillers that makes it look like QDing a dirty car isn't causing any issues. Until the next time you wash those fillers off. Most people probably think that its their wash technique and so they add another bucket, and another.

This forum has some ancient software. Every other forum I can post full size pictures and this one i can’t and posting pics is damn useless. 99% of people just want to post a pic they took on their iPhone and you can’t do that here.

If they fixed that one problem I bet more people would use this forum.

Then this forum needs to link with social media like instagram, etc.

It’s sad that this forum is the best detailing forum on the net? I joined here because I remember this forum from the early 2000’s.

Seems like a sinking ship now.

All forums are sinking ships now. I believe if you access the forum through Tapatalk you will be able to upload pictures as you desire. And this software isn't ancient, it was just upgraded to XenForo about a year ago.

Seems ancient to other forums I’m on or this SW isn’t as user friendly.

I use the forum from either my computer or mostly my phone on safari; all other forums are so easy to post pictures. That’s all I’m saying.

I agree there is other forum software where it is easier to post pictures, although in the one I'm thinking of there are other features that don't work as well as this (multi-quoting, for example). This forum by design is in a death spiral, since they closed the store associated with it. Used to be, if you went to the store and needed help with something, there would be a forum link...but it's hard to see how people will find this forum now, even if the rumors are true that some new members are getting in.

If you're looking for a detailing forum that has a little more activity, you can try autogeekonline.net, but you will find a lot of the same people from here.

It's a pain but there are free apps to resize pictures. At least you don't have to host it on a 3rd party site like in the olden days.

The forum doesn't like stuff over 1000x1000. I usually go for 50% compression. Irfanview is a reliable PC app to do it.

I only view this forum on my phone under duress, but I'm pretty sure the Tapatalk people don't have to resize their pictures.
They don't but the picture is hosted on Tapatalk not on here. I used to love Tapatalk but it is absolutely horrible now, it plays video ads while you scroll.
