Harbor Freight DA polisher...holy moly!

Picked one up recently for $50 out the door brand new. Wow....it`s a beast!! Most powerful 8MM random orbital I`ve ever used. Yes, it has more balls than the GG 6" DA. Removed defects in hard paint relatively easy with it, a quality compound and a new LC MF pad. I`m very impressed!
 
I think it`s a bit longer than the PCXP, but definitely in the same ballpark. I love it! Probably will use it more than my 15mm DA now.
 
I have one that I use with 3 inch BP. I find that although adequate, its rough running. It will soon become my carpet da.
 
Ah yes, I to have a GG 3in da. I use my 3in for headlight correction and pillars

I grabbed this version of the HF DA which is 62862:

Compared to the gen-3 Griot`s DA, seems like this version of the HF DA was louder and certainly not as smooth as the Griot`s. I polished out a few panels and then it sat for a few weeks, the next time I went to use it the polisher was no longer rotating under any form of pressure. I need to break it down to figure out what`s going on, but I know a lot of guys have had success with the previous gen HF DA, this one for me so far has been a dud.
 
Yes, it came with brushes. Counterbalance weight is secure. The Griot`s DA is made in China, just as the HF. I like the HF better and it doesn`t have a huge round metal part like the Griots, so you can see more of the pad and polishing area.
 
Few bucks more? Try at *least* $75 more for the Griot`s and the HF is more powerful and I like the feel of the HF better. That`s why. :)

The HF is loud, but you can change the grease to quiet it down.

Does the vibrating happen with a particular pad type?

Gary Dean once told me that he uses the HF DA. There`s a good endorsement. But yeah, the lifetime warranty on the Griots is great.
