Hand Pressure Sprayer for Presoak

I've been using ONR for a while now because I dont have a hose. Presoaking with a spray bottle is tiring and uneven. So I thinking of investing in a hand Pressure Sprayer. However, there are so many to choose from. Anyone have recommendations?

I have a handheld pump sprayer that I use for ONR, similar to this one:

Got it from Home Depot for less than $10, but any place with gardening supplies should have it. If you feel the need to spend a lot of money you can get the 1Z Einszett Atomizer Spray Bottle for about $40.

Anything at your local garden store will work fine.

I have a 2gal version, but I'm thinking about getting the one-hander because I don't end up using anywhere near a gallon.

Yep, me too. The stuff sits forever in my big sprayer and air leaks out of it too. Its much easier to pump up the little guy.

I also own one of the 1/2 gallon HD sprayers and it works well for smaller jobs, but if you are planning on spraying a whole car down, I would suggest @ least a 1 gallon (probably a 2 gal) sprayer you can find in a garden section at a local store...

1 Gals work great for the entire car and wheels and rims as well. I would at least go with the 1 gal. Aldo, de pressurize when finished. You will find it saves the seals. Store away from heat and light if you have NRWS/Water remnants.

Best thing I ever did was begin using a spritzer with NRWS.

I just bought a 1 gallon sprayer. I can fill it and then wash all 3 of my large-ish vehicles. It takes me about 30-40 oz to do a whole truck.

I was searching this sametopic and found this thread.

I too want to use the manual hand pressure sprayer for washing my vehicles, however given the cold weather, does these chemcial sprayers allow for warmish water use? Thanks.

yea warm water is actually better for them!

I assume ONR works well in these sprayers, that is why I will be looking at grabbing one soon.

Any other chemicals you find these sprayers to be useful with? I was thinking an APC for presoaking as well. At that point, it might be better to get sprayers dedicated for each product.

Don't mean to jack your thread, but I've been looking for these pump sprayers up and down Home Depot and Lowes and couldn't find it. Even the employees don't know where it is. Did a search on the website and came up with this:

Search Results for pump sprayer

Any other ideas?

They are in the gardening section. Usually, go in Home Depot, head toward the outside section and you'll see all the pest control. Turn around, and they'll almost always be on an endcap facing the pest control, or on the next aisle over from pest control.

You need to ask for a "garden sprayer" otherwise you will just confuse the droids working there.

I use the garden sprayers a lot, for degreasers, carpet presprayers, etc. The degreaser usually eats one of the $20 Home Depot versions up in about a month so I looked into the high volume ones you see at car washes. After researching multiple compaines the cheapest "professional" one is about $200, which is just stupid IMO. Stick with the garden sprayers, there is nothing better in the price range.

ive tried the sub 10 dollar ones and wasnt fully pleased. always something..the seals suck or the bottle is too thin or the nozzle/pump is ******.

so far my 2 favorites are SOLO brand that ive been buying off of amazon.com

Amazon.com: Solo 2-Liter Piston Pump One-Hand Pressure Sprayer With Telescoping Metal Wand #420: Home Improvement

theres a 2 liter and 1 liter version, the 2 liter has an extendable wand with a cup on it to prevent dripping from the adjustable nozzle. fixed at around 10-12 inches then extends to about 24"

i love it, its easy to pump, holds 2 liters, and the nozzle is full adjustable from stream to extreme fine mist. holds decent pressure too, on stream it shoots as far as some supersoakers, and you can lock the trigger in and keep it on mist for a few minutes straight before losing pressure. all after like 20-30 easy pumps.

i love it. on lower panels, engines, and wheel wells the extendable wand and no drip cup are near genius. cant imagine not having one now. i havent owned them for that long so i cant speak on durability but after 6 months it still works like new. *crosses fingers*

oh yeah uhh..i dont work for amazon or solo lol. seemed a little biased there, i just like em for 17 bucks shipped to my door to hawaii. its harder to find/ship a lot of things here.
