The hood of my car is the only part I can never get to look the way I want, no matter what I use there.
It's all pitted, so, before doing a full paint job on it, I'll first wet sand, 1500 grit, and see what I can get out of it. If there's still enough clear coat I'll buff it and spot repair the larger rock chips using OEM touch up paint and maybe Mothers Paint Chip Repair.
If there's not enough CC left on it, after being buffed and polished a couple of times for the last year then I'll go for the paint job.
