some one had a post that showed pictures of people supplies set ups..I saw alot of griots garage stuff. I am wonder how this stuf is..is there anything they sell that is so special?

I have seen their shops and whatnot. My take on it is their products are quality, its one of the few brands where pretty much anything you buy from them will be near top quality. They have great customer support and everything carries an excellent warranty. If you are unsatisfied with something you purchased from them, even a few years from now. Return it for replacement/refund. Many probably don't like Griot's because of their glossy marketing so it isn't "back door" enough like other products are, so you can't be "in the know" compared to tracking down a vendor/place to buy other stuff. Just watch it on things they sell that aren't their car care products (tools/their buffers/etc) which sport a pretty hefty markup.

I think most of Griot's car care stuff is way overpriced. They do offer a few specific detailing products that perform very well. But for the most part you can get comparable, even superior, performance from other brands at less cost.

Most Griot's customers are not price sensitive and prefer their excellent customer service to other suppliers. They market themselves to the well-heeled car enthusiast who likes the image Griot's projects and wants one-stop shopping for most of the car care and automobilia needs. Many of Griot's items are wildly overpriced (i.e. their $76 hose nozzle I bought for $19) but their loyal customers don't really care.

If you can afford it, Griot's will sell you only the good stuff and really take care of you in the process.

I'd definitely agree with Bretfraz on this one. Where service is concerned, Griot's does things well. However, for the money, the 'bang for the buck' ratio is very low. 6 months ago, they had a detailing seat with wheels on their site for $69. The next day, I bought a very similar seat at Costco for $14.99. I wouldn't mind if Griot's was $34.99 for the seat, but $69 is just a bit out of touch.

Like I said look at their detailing products (IE the stuff that comes in bottles) for most of the other stuff look elsewhere. I do like their pads/clay bar.

I think that they are way overpriced for what you get and I had a defective item that I called to have replaced and I still am waiting for it 6 weeks later. I would not buy from them again. I would rather deal with Jan at CMA or Premimum Auto Care and Detail City

I LOVE Griot's products. I use their paint cleaner, polishes, Best of Show wax, MF towels, and a few other odds and end items. Here are pics of my car using Griot's polish and best of show wax.

They do not cater to the pro. Way over priced and the products I have used of theirs did not make a huge impression on me for the greater good.

For interior fabric cleaners I've yet to see anything surpass Prestone .....

It removes virtually ANYTHING.

(The can comes with a natty scrubbing brush too!)

Murph1083 - What the other Griot's fans are saying. I REALLY like their Car Wash, better than any other. Their Undercarriage Spray works well too, as do most of their products. I use their Boar's Hair Brushes a lot, and couldn't get by without the smaller ones (for cleaning nooks and crannies).

FUEL- I'd give Griot's a call about your long wait, that is unusual for them. Some of their people are, uhm, a LOT better than others. Six weeks...something's gotta be out of whack.

2001civicex WOW! I'd say the BOS is working out really well for you! :xyxthumbs Based on your results, I'm not bashing Griot's polishes and waxes on this thread.

what about their undercariage spray and stuff, like its blue. You spray it in the wheel wells. Anything beter, does it work, etc?

I am a big fan of Griot's. Quality stuff no doubt. Is there cheaper stuff? Sure is. You just can't go wrong as far as the product quality goes!

Their undercarriage works great. IT is just too expnsive for the pro to use. It also collects a lot of road grime and dust as you drive.

I cannot stand Hondas because of all the stupid things that todays youth does to them but your ride is very classy and very clean. Bravo. And excelent choice on the color and rims.

Thanks man! I have a simple rule I follow when I do stuff to my cars. K.I.S.S. Keep it simple stupid. I hate all of the vinyl decal kits, the wings, the l.e.d. lights on everything, loud exhaust that sounds like a bee. I have an Injen intake, Magnaflow Cat back that is super quiet and mellow as hell, and some stereo stuff. I will be lowering it but only 1". I am not into the whole slam your car until you can not drive it anymore thing.

Thanks again!

I love the Griots Undercarriage Spray. It does a great job on the wheel wells on my show car. Its a little oily but holds up great. Just be careful getting it on the driveway etc.
