Glanz wax

Is this a step-by-step process like Zaino? Or should I just order the Glanz wax? I already have carwash, a few claybars, and some 3M SMR.



Should I wash, clay, 3M, wash, and Glanz?



Will this stuff outlast Zaino?
 
it's not a step-by-step like zaino at all. you can use just as you've listed above or if you're ordering the GW you might wanna get some Paint Polish or Metallic Polish as well. the PP or MP topped with GW is a tough combo to beat and the durability is excellent on GW. i've had it last 8 months on an outdoor 24/7 car(my mom's). it has far outlasted zaino and is much more resistant to staining(bird bombs, sap, etc.) than anything else i've ever used.
 
It's def. great stuff, and doesn't require the time or steps that Zaino does. SO easy to apply and buff.



However, I've found that the durability really varies according to the vehicle, for what it's worth.
 
Ok thanks....I don't have a good buffer. I've just used the one my dad had from wal-mart.....waxmaster 900 or something. I'll probably get a good one for my birthday coming up. Should I just polish by hand? Or wait until I get a good buffer and not waste my time doing it by hand?
 
I'm ordering now....the Glanz wax and Paint Polish. What would you guys recommend as a towel to dry my car? I use 100% cotton towels now, should I keep using them or switch to microfiber? I heard microfiber puts swirls in the paint, so I might just stick with what I've got, but opinions are always helpful.

I thought cotton was supposed to have a greater chance of putting swirls in paint than microfiber. You have to be a bit more careful with washing and drying microfiber, but I think it would be safer. Waffle Weave microfiber towels are my FAVORITE thing for drying a car. They work very well.
 
I think after you try GW, you will be amazed with this product. As mentioned before, order MP & PP and you will have a good arsenal for maintaining your car.
 
I didn't get the MP, only the PP and Glanz. Do I have to wash after polishing or can I just put the Glanz right on after I buff it?
 
wash and dry, PP and buff it off, then Glanz and buff that off. That would be an excelent process. If a few months down the line, you dont really have swirls but you want to improve the looks of your car, MP would come into play. Thats my understanding at least.
 
I haven't experienced any staining.



You can work the the Glanz in right after the PP, but what I do is wait until the next wash (1 week- 10 days later) and apply it then. In the meantime there's a very minor layer of carnuba left from the PP for protection until you hit it with the Glanz.
