Getting PC and need help on what to buy..

I think my PC 7336 should arrive on monday and I kinda got a list of what to buy for it :bounce .



1 Polish pad

1 Wax pad

1 Wax removal pad

1 Polish removal pad



Bottle of polish (I don't know which though, I have lotsa scratches from using crappy cloths back when I first got my car so I was thinking SMR or Griots #3).





Is this good enough for waxing and polishing? Not sure on the polish either. If any of you guess can gimme suggestions or point out anything missing from my plan it would be appreciated.

Well I think you will need a hook and loop backing pad for your polishing pads. The 7336 is outfitted as a sander so your pads will not mount without the backing pad and if you use 6 inch pads you will need the 6 inch counterweight. I went with the 7424 because it already had all the parts I needed, plus the price was very good, better than Lowes. I may be wrong but I do not think the 7336 comes with everything you need.:nixweiss
 
I got the DM-kit (for my 7336SP) from CLA. This is the one that gives you several pads and the adapter to use the velcro type pads. I also picked up some SMR and the Klasse kit. Which 7336 package did you get S or SP???
 
My Lowes store wanted 130.00 for the PC. I bought mine from Coastal for 119.00 plus they threw in the hook and loop backing pad as well as the 6 inch counterweight. I'm now waiting on my velcro polishing pads and all of my supplies to come in. Could anyone comment on the white PC pad that come with the unit? Is it any good at all? What is it best used for? Polish or wax? A Frisbee? Maybe a practice hockey puck?:confused:
 
From a review I read on the white pad, it's not that useful. Since it's flat, when it spins the polish or wax will fly off.

I guess that proves not all Lowes store carry the same stock or have the same pricing. Thats kinda odd though my state is next door[about an hour and half away] to the state where the PC factory is, so instead of getting a decent deal from our neighbor we get the SHAFT!:mad:
 
The only lowes is about 98 miles from my house and Amazon.com recently had that $15 coupon for tools so I used it along with free shipping for a grand total of $109 :xyxthumbs :bounce

If you apply your product to the pad, set the pad on the surface, and then turn the PC on no product will fly off the pad. I have been using Meguiars pads (which are flat) for years, and the concave pads from CMA with no problems out of either. I actually prefer the flat pad because I have more surface area contact with less pressure. ;)
