Hello Autopians!
My name is Jack and I am thankful that I have been allowed to join the Autopia community. I am located in Joplin, MO and have joined Autopia in order to further expand my knowledge of automotive care. I have been lurking these forums for a while now and it is refreshing to see an automotive related forum that has a bit of class to it.
As my screen name suggests, I own, but also drive and daily a Grand Prix White Honda S2000. She is a MY01 and gives me all 13 years of her excitement every time I drive her. She has been in my possession since April of 2009 and although the transformation has been slow, I believe I have come up with my expression for my favorite driving machine with my example. I feel as if Honda has given us a great springboard with this vehicle and not many modifications were needed to further refine this amazing machine.
Below is my baby, captured (just after a 70 mile, bug and tire-carcass ridden highway drive) by Envious Films. Please ignore the many bugs and lack of tire shine as this was taken almost instantly as I was out of the car and out of frame:
My goal with Autopia is simple: I would like to further my understanding of automotive reconditioning and general care to a point where it can not be just a hobby but provide an income, even if just supplementary. I have always tried to follow the thought that "If you do what you love, then the money will come." and so far it has worked well for me. I would like to use this thought to get further into the automotive care world, mostly just as to say that "I have a hobby that can support itself." Anything else passed that would be nice, but isn't the goal.
So again, Thank you for adding me to the community! I hope that in time I am able to provide a useful addition and start contributing regularly. Until then, prepare for the barrage of post-search questions!
