First exterior detail - 2003 Honda Pilot

This is my wife's badly swirled black 2003 Honda Pilot. I am very new to using the PC so everything didn't go as smoothly as it could have :) But, it looks much better than before. Here are the products I used:

- After washing, clay with DP clay

- Megs #83 w/orange pad

- Megs #9 w/orange pad

- Wolfgang finishing glaze w/grey pad

- Klasse sealant

- NXT wax

I probably spent about 12 hours on this. There are a few little things I would like to finish up but I really need a break now! Anyway here are the pics:

Wow man...that's an amazing job. I've probably only seen one car that could even match how swirled that was. Bravo, now hopefully you can keep it like that from now on. :2thumbs:

and he said that he only cleaned up the engine compartment a little bit. cmon now. but surely is one amazing transformation.

Ouch, that was nasty. The finish looks much darker and glossier, it was almost a dull grey before, now its a deep black. Great work.

Nice job! What'd you think of the #83? I've used it a few times with the pc.. it seemed like a finnicky polish to work with.

Thanks guys!

#83 worked great, it left a bit of marring (expected) and needed to be followed up by the other products.

I really did not wax this car at all for the last 3 years we've had it, and it's been taken to automatic carwashes frequently. Apparently that's bad :)

As for the engine compartment, I thought everybody would nitpick it since I could have done a lot more. But, it definitely looks better!

From now on we plan on waxing every 3 months and maybe a yearly touchup with the PC if it needs it to keep it looking this way.
