febreeze car clips cause damage?

I had found many years ago, that even the Little Tree Air Fresheners can damage a Dashboard if the come in contact with plastic parts.

Had that happen on my 1994 Lincoln Town Car, was hanging one from the Headlight Knob, and it did eat up-dissolve some of the faux walnut grained trim on the left side of the dash in just a very short time.

From then on in, if I use the Little Trees, I hang them from the emergency brake release lever, or some other place where they will not contact any plastic parts.

cg scents are but I just clean my interior with 1z, always smells amazing after. Option 2 is Yankee candles, the midnight summer smells amazing, card or jar.
 
I put air fresheners inside trunk compartment. Does a great job without overwhelming.

The wife prefers her air freshener under the passenger seat. Works well there too.

No damages done.
 
I had a new one ready to put in this weekend, but after reading that i returned it. Why take a chance? When i clean my leather seats with the DP foam cleaner & conditioner, it leaves a really great leather scent!
 
A little off subject but the air freshens for your home that have the oil and wooden sticks in them, be careful with those too. I have two end tables that little drips of the oil got on and ate the finish off all the way down to the wood.
 
Also heard many times, a dryer sheet under the seat does wonders. Now for the home, the febreez plug in noticables i find great!
