Exterior Detailing

Hi all, I'm new to this forum, and I'm trying to get some info on how to detail the exterior. I want the "glass finish look".



what kind of car wash you guys use?

how many time do u wash it for preparing the next detailing step?



what's the next step? Polishing right?

what product is good for polishing? I heard carnauba is good? Any recommendation?

How many layers should apply in order to get the glass look?



Is waxing the next step?

what product is good? How about Meguiar's #7?

Do I need to apply more the one layer?



Detail info will be appreciated.

tons of info....search and ye shall find..



Also look into getting the ebook sold through the store link...lots of how to detail stuff in it...

The answer to all your questions are here. Like Guess suggested, purchase a copy of the Autopia Guide To Detailing found at www.autopia-carcare.com and begin your education there. That e-book and all the posts here will give you a solid foundation of information. From there you can decide what to do and how to do it.

Welcome! Even though I already new a bit about detailing before I found Autopia, I learned so much more just hanging out a while. Whenever I would read a post or read about a technique that I didn't understand, I would then do a search on that topic. Also the e-book is a wealth of information in one place. Happy Detailing!
