A little water wouldn’t be too bad, but soaking it like this is asking for problems. Warming up the engine prior to cleaning can help loosen oil and grease. A quick spray with a power washer would be much better for a rinse. Starting off his videos and saying he is not a pro is not the best way to get me to follow his “advice”.
 
Yes, a small hand sprayer for water would work better in doing small areas then a water hose ,One has to be careful with them electronics.
