Hi-- new here..

I was wondering if anyone can help me .

I have a black SUV, and last night somebody threw eggs,

and left a nice mark.

I heard the protein in the yolk eats the paint away.

Did manage to get the yolks out, but now it has a small swerl kinda paint damage.

I am totally clewless when it comes to car care..

If anybody can help me what to do, or what kind of products works the best

for this, I greatly, big time, appreciate..

Wow. That really sucks. You know, the second bad part about having an egg thrown at your car is that the impact can shatter the clear coat. What you are seeing may not be swirls. They could be cracks. If you look at it and it looks like a spider-web and is visible at more than "just the right angle at the right light" then you could have some serious damage done. Do you think it is just surface marks or could it be worse than that?

It actually looks like a spiderweb..size of a golf ball.

I can see it from every angle..yeah it really sucks..

Do I have to repaint the whole back panel??

I bought her just a month ago!!

Aghhhh!!

Before you spring for an expensive repaint, maybe try a scratch removal product like Meguiar's Scratch-X, Mothers Scratch Remover, or (Jngrbrdman likes this ;)) GS-27.

I feel for you.... had eggs thrown at my old gti one halloween. The gar was dark metallic green and the pits left by the hit on the back panel and bonnent left deep pittted marks in the clear coat, super resin polish would get into them and look bad. Never could remove them.:(

there nothing you can really do after you get egged i know cause my truck got egged now there is a bunch of paint chips and the clear coat is all hazed and its got little cracks in it now so the only thing really to do is have that part repainted

Thank you so much for the advice guys!

:bow

I know it's a dumb question, but what about those informercial thing

The stuff they advertise on TV is the GS-27. Like 4DSC said, I like it. Its basicly the same stuff as ScratchX. I've got some before and after pics in my gallery. Either product will work if its something that can be fixed that easily.
