So I have tried a few different waxes on my car and none have completely satisfied. Souveran muted my metal flake too much, P21S had lackluster durability, Megs #26 worked ok but I felt dirty topping my car with a $12 wax. So I finally decided to pick up some Max Wax at the recommendations of many forum members. I have AIO then Wolfgang DGPS under the wax. Photos are somewhat inconsistent due to the intermittent cloud cover.
Application: Used my Wolfgang polishing pal with a grey pad. Just hit each side of the pad with a quick swipe from the wax. Then applied in 3x3' area to ensure even coverage. Wiped off after 5-10 seconds.
Packaging/Smell: The container is kinda iffy. I can't get my top on the first 2-3 times I try, it just hangs up. Smells like a carnauba wax, nothing amazing, but still a classic smell.
Ease of use: Super easy to use, very similar to Souveran. Maybe just a little harder wipe off but I could barely tell the difference. Removed with a Cobra indigo towel
Looks: Awesome to say the least. I wanted a wax that would add shine and depth but not mute my metal flake. The metal flake is super fine and the car changes shades of blue depending upon the lighting. Anyone at detail-fest will be able to see that. Reflection and gloss is stunning almost on par with Souveran.
Overall: Like all my other DP products I was very impressed. It worked exactly as advertised, maybe even better, and the results compared to price cannot be beat. This is definitely my wax of choice for my vehicle from now on, with Souveran taking a back seat. At $29 this wax leaves nothing to be desired.
