Differences between CG's M-Seal & FS pure acrylic crystalline sealant

Care to elaborate on the differences between these 2 products from CG? Also your experiences with each?

FS is the "thicker" product of the 2. Super easy to use. Apply a thin layer to your entire vehicle with a dampened MF or Terry applicator. ( I dampen my apps with distilled water. ) Allow the product to Haze, dry, set up or cure ( whatever terminology you prefer ) for 15-20 minutes & then remover the residue with a quality MF towel. FS removes with ease. FS produces a "clean & clear" look on my black paint. Not overly glossy. I'd say more of a "satin" look. It's a solid acrylic sealant & even though I love most CG products, it's not quite in the same boat as Werkstatt's Acrylics or Klasse SG. ( Werkstatt's AJ & AJT are at the top of the chart, IMO, for all around acrylic sealant performance.

CG describes MS as a "micro finish" and after playing around with FS & MS for the past 6 months or so, I've come to the conclusion that MS is the perfect "topper" used over FS. MS is more "liquid like", not as thick as FS. Like FS, MS is super easy to apply/remove. I apply MS using the same technique as FS. MS seems to produce more gloss on my black paint than FS. The FS/MS combo adds a bit of depth, ( "bit" ) doesn't mute the flake in my brilliant black crystal pearl paint. In fact, it adds a nice "pop" in direct sunlight. No steaking at all. Last week I prepped my 300C & followed it up with CG EZ Creme Glaze. ( nice product! ) Then the FS/MS combo. I was pleased with the results using the CG 3 step combo. No "wrapped in plastic" look. Just a nice , clean, clear, glossy appearance. I'd give the FS/MS a solid score of 7.5 on a scale of 1-10. ( with Zaino & JW topping the chart at 9.5's.) As for durabilty.........It's hard for me to say, really. I seal/wax often. No matter what the packaging says, I say that based on my FS/MS experience, you can expect minimum 2 months of premium protection.

I am confused about suggestion of using the MS as a topper. The MS mentions it "bonds chemically to the pores of the paintwork" The FS advertises this: FS pure acrylic crystalline sealant contains no cleansers, waxes, silicones or polishing agents. It sounds like the FS could be the topper. I am guessing the M-Seal is the way to go if you have to decide between the two, as it is the newer product, and seems to be an improved version of FS.

I have the M-seal and it´s super easy to use, off and off like a breeze.

M and F-seal came out at the same time so I don´t think F-seal is a improved version of M-seal?

I can help out a little, Paul discussed this with me before

M-Seal and Factory Sealant are very close products, Factory Sealant is a newer product. The main difference between the two is that M-Seal contains Silicone and Factory Sealant does not, It is a pure paint sealant... I use it as a base then go with my choose of topper over it.

BlackTac05 Nailed this one right on the head, Take his advice and run with it.

Thank you sir! I only like to comment on products that I have real world experience with.

All this acrylic talk gave me the "itch". Today, I followed up last weeks CG 3 step combo ( EZ Creme Glaze-FS-MS) with a layer of JW Acrylic Jett after an ONR wash. What really works well with these acrylic sealants is my trusty bottle of Sonus Acrylic Spritz. It's been awhile since I've used the Acrylic Spritz, since I've been using FK#425 & Quikshine for the past 6 months or so. I needed to come back & clean up some AJ residue & the Acrylic Spritz worked nicely. Now my black 300C is looking show car worthy. Tremendous clean-clear glossy appearance with some added depth, thanks to the AJ. After next weeks wash, perhaps a little DG AW is in order. Yummy! Man I love this detailing weather here in West Texas!! ( 84 degrees today )

Must get down to the basement and check it out.
