Detailer in Greater Boston Area

Hi Everyone,



This has been beaten to death over the years, but the board activity has slowed down over the past couple years so I think it's OK to post. I'm looking for an Autopian or Autopian recommended detailer in the Boston area. I am willing to travel up to 50 miles outside of Boston to find the right person.



I have a 2008 Acura TSX (Black/Black w/Nav) with approximately 68K miles. It needs paint correction (probably two-step) and the whole works, inside and out, including the engine bay. The car is parked on the street, so I would love to have it protected pretty well against the elements. I'm also contemplating a clear bra, so if you have the capability to do that, it's a plus, but not necessary.

Thank you. I've known about Rick for a long time. I've tried getting in touch with him multiples times through facebook, private messages, and email and have never gotten a response from him. I am under the impression that he is not accepting new business, or not detailing cars that are not "exotic."
 
I have used Driven Perfection in Weymouth a few times and I'm happy with the results, but I've never done a car that was more then a few years old. There is another post on here someplace where RickRack suggests/recommends them.

bump.  I am moving from CA to Boston and I was wondering if you had any luck with your search for a good detailer in Boston.  I have a Tesla Model S with a full front Xpel install and full opticoat.  I will want someone in the area to detail the car over time, and potentially Xpel the remainder of the car given the crappy weather in Boston...
 
Bump, Thinking about doing a ceramic or glass coating to wifes car but everyone is on north shore or west of Boston. Any South Shore coating guy anyone knows of.

Not sure who it is only been here a year and I don't see to many locals on here. I will search for detailers in that area see if I find him or one that does coatings. I would try my self but the stories of streaking and other problems scare me a bit and also the time to do all the prior steps to prep the car for the coating. I work 70 hours a week (I dont work to hard as you can see I post here at all times of the day but I am stuck at a desk) so I dont have a lot time to fit in all my hobbies.
 
It's not as difficult as you make it sound. I'd say the "polishing to perfection" aspect represents 90% of this task. That can be time-consuming.

Some of the new coatings and specialized applicators make the job a breeze.
 
Maybe the wife can have the same guy who detailed her last car every year do her new car and then after I can just try the coating my self. Maybe ask him to leave any LSP off so I don't have to strip it. Its fishing season I dont want to spend 12 hours prepping the car (probably 6 hours for a pro).
