At the local auto parts place Meguiar's Deep Crystal is about $3.99 while the Meguiar's Gold Class is $11.99. I know the Gold Class is cheaper at other places. I think $9.99 seems to be the average. I actually have been using the Deep Crystal with pretty decent results. I'm getting ready to go pick up some more, but since I have found DC and started reading, everyone seems to love the Gold Class. Anyone tired both? Is there really that much difference for the Gold Class to be other twice as much?

I have used Deep Crystal, Gold Class and NXT. The Deep Crystal was not
as rich in suds as the other two. I like NXT but it has not been as easy to
locally for some reason. Walmart has seemed to drop it locally. I have read
that other Walmarts have restocked it. Maybe it has to do with the local
associates not ordering it due to their sales results?

For bucket washing, I prefer the Gold Class. The Deep Crystal foams up too much IMHO and the Gold Class is just about right.

However in a foam gun, I find the Deep Crystal to be great. My current preferred method of washing is DC in the gun and GC in the bucket.

Depends on what you want.

To me, the GC is the softest most conditioning soap and is good when your vehicle isn't very dirty. It doesn't sud much, but cleans very well.

NXT seems good all around, as it suds, cleans well, and slicks the surface.

Deep Crystal would be good in a foam gun, and seems to be ok for general use, but isn't as slick as NXT, nor does it offer the same overall cleaning ability of the GC. Its just kind of average all around. Seems to work better with soft water. Hard mineral water seems to kill it compared to the other two products.

Hope this helps.
