Debris Release Screen for Washing

I was getting sick of having to stick my entire arm in the 2nd bucket to release debris from my wash mitt. I have seen the dirt dropper, but wanted something that would separate the water and debris more.

I ordered a 5 gallon paint liner cut the bottom out and put it in my bucket which now allows me to agitate the sponge against it releasing the particles below my grit guard.



I would love to see a car wash specific one made. More durable, the right size with a Grit guard, and one that has slots in the bottom to act like a second grit guard.

Looks great Chad. I was hoping of making the wash board perforated to allow dirt to fall through it as the wash medium is agitated against it.

I think down the side would be better. Curved to match the bucket would be great as well. Would only lose about an inch. Great idea, Greg.

Yeah, I was too lazy to finish the wash board part...and like Ken said, I was supposed to be working!

Just go to Lowe's or HD and pick up one of these for a couple bucks. 5-Gal. Bucket Grid-RM 416 at The Home Depot

Or, you could just stack a couple grit guards so that you only need to stick your hand in wrist deep.
