collonite over klasse twins?

ive noticed a few comments that collonite makes some hard wearing products, would anything be suitable to use as a topper over klasse twins? or does it contain abrasives

it would work fine and it looks good if you look for on of my first details you can see on the dodge stratus i used it.

Sorry i'm on dial-up right now no linky..

You can use just about any of the pure Collinite waxes (476S, IW, etc.) over either AIO or SG. The liquid Fleetwax and the Liquid/Paste Sapphire waxes; however, contain cleaners that would probably remove some or all of your SG.

well i was looking for something hard wearing, especially to carry me through the winter..i have a metalic grey car and a almost black burgundy pearl

can anyone point me towards the most suitable collinite wax

I've done the AIO and Insulator Wax treatment in the past on a black car. It definitely holds up longer than most waxes. I'm planning to do the same on my new car in the next couple of weeks. IW may not look as nice as some of the more "pretty" waxes, but it beads like crazy, and even holds up against road salt.

Besides, IW is probably one of the easiest waxes to use....so why not?

Hi, I second using IW 845 over AIO. I have used this combo on dark metallic grey and black colour and both gives a very warm and deep shine. I am using OCW to maintain the shine after shampooing the cars. Try it, u will get durability and shine.

The 476S super double coat paste is one of the longest lasting Collinite waxes.

so 845 is the one to get??? any ideas on a outlet in uk?

Try Serious Performance. He now sells through ebay (the UK version) as well, so you can pay by paypal rather than cheque - just do a search for collinite...

I couldn't decide which collinite to get either, so I got both the 476s and the 845IW. The only complaint I have so far is that they STINK, literally! Ugh, they're gross.

A search on this topic will give you tons of info and opinions on how to use the collinite waxes and how they work. I just put AIO and 476s topped with IW on an x5, and AIO topped with IW on a 323, both are holding up well so far (1 month for the x5, two weeks for the 323).

I agree about the IW, but I like the smell of 476S :nixweiss

Yeah , IW smells like over-used and under-washed sweatsocks.

But , if you can bear it , the merits of it outweigh the assault on your sense of smell.
