I was thinking about PlastX and a PC with a finishing pad.Have you guys try that ?

Thank you

Webb, there is tons of information about restoring/cleaning headlights. Type headlight restoration, headlight cleaning, etc under search. There is a wealth of info! I went through it just last week. took me a day or 2 to read through it all.

Alot of people have been using PlastX. Over on the Meguiars forum, there is a ton of info on just PlastX itself

As Tex said, do a search. There are so many diffrent products and ways to restore headlights. I would give your suggestion a try and see how it works.

Webb, you can also clean headlights with your other polishes you may already have. I have used several of the polishes I have at home already to clean up several sets of headlights. I don't particularly feel a need for a special polish just to do headlight clean ups.

Yes many paint polishes work very well on plastic headlights. Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish is also recommended for headlights. I have used it to do the heavy work than followed up with a light polish and the results where very good.

Like the others are saying you can clean plastic headlights with a decent polish.....Question what are the condition of the lights currently?...Are they yellowed out and hazy, or cloudy looking....what dose the surface feel like rough, smooth?.....some you can get away with just polish others might require wet sanding then polish...

I bought the Wolfgang Plastic Lens Cleaning System but found the lens cleaner to have too little cutting power. Not enough to remove the scratches/cloudiness, and not enough to get out 2000 grit sanding marks. A little Menzerna IP on the orange Wolfgang pad mounted on my cordless drill got rid of the sanding marks quickly and polished the lenses to the point where I could have stopped then and had good results. Being obsessive/compulsive, I couldn't stop and followed this up with Menzerna FPII, the Wolfgang Lens Cleaner, the Wolfgang Lens Glaze, and finally two coats of Zaino.

i have wet sanded them and then polished them and waxed them that worked great keep repeating the process until you acheive the look you want
