Cleaner before using 303?

Trim cleaning:

The interior trim consists of the dash, vents, hard plastic surfaces and vinyl trim. These surfaces all can be cleaned using a damp Microfiber towel and a 5:1 Woolite / distilled water solution and with a water-based, anti-static cleaner that contains UVR protection (Iz einszett Cockpit Premium) For all plastic surfaces (BTI Chemicals Plexus® Plastic Polish & Cleaner) including wood, as they are protected with a urethane clear coat

Simply apply a small amount of product to damp Microfiber cloth and apply to surface, then buff with a dry Microfiber cloth, usually a small section at a time. Agitate with assorted interior detailing brushes and wipe excess moisture with a terry towel.

Repeat this process on all plastic and vinyl surfaces. Some panels that are heavily soiled may require several cleaning steps to reach desired level. After applying products allow drying and then wiping all surfaces with a damp towel.

The wood trim in most vehicles (Mercedes Benz uses real wood) is protected with a urethane clear coat, polyurethane or a thin lacquer, which is very easily scratched. Remove scratches with a fine polish (Groit's Fine Hand Polish) and then wipe with a damp 100% cotton towel.

Maintenance- use an anti-static plastic cleaner (BTIâ„¢ Chemicals Plexus Plastic Polish & Cleaner)

Interior dressings:

Vinyl dressings should be used to replenish the necessary oils (to avoid the vinyl plasticizers drying out and cracking) to interior and plastic panels.

Methodology

·Wash surfaces with a 5:1 Woolite / distilled water solution

·Dressings should be used sparingly and only to accent an interior (Iz einszett Cockpit Premium)

·Always use a clean towel to remove excess dressing from dressed surfaces.

·Door seals are a particularly good area for vinyl dressings. By dressing these seals, it keeps them from sticking to the painted door jams and tearing the seals.

·Do not use any vinyl dressings on pedals or air bag housings. Using dressings on air bags can change vinyl, and adversely affect its deployment

·There are many vinyl dressings on the market. Every other month use ultra violet (UV) protection on all interior surfaces (including leather seats etc) use (303TM Aerospace Protectrant) Non-silicone dressings also provide a lower gloss level and a more natural look.

Apply and then wait an hour for product to cure and buff with a cotton cloth.
