Chrome polish? Wenol? Metal Magic? Mother's?

There is no "best". All the polishes you mentioned are excellent. Some provide a little more cleaning power and some may offer a little more protection. It depends on what you are polishing, how frequently you need/want to polish, and how much cleaning power you need. Mother's is a terrific overall polish, easy to find in stores, priced right, you can't go wrong. I've found Auto Wenol to be a bit mild and can be tough to find in stores. I haven't used Metal Magic but I'm sure others have so search for their comments.

The "best" polish is the one that meets your needs and does the job you want it to.

You also might want to try Mother's Billet Alum Polish. Its a little bit pricey compared to the regular Mothers Alum Polish but I think worth it.

I have found that I like Autosol the best!! It is an incredible product!!! :bounce I have tried Mothers, Meg's and TW(I was desparate at the time!!) and Pro(their Glass Polish can be used on chrome). I still like the ease of use and the quality of the shine from the Autosol the best!!!

From my experience, it depends on what condition the metal is in that determines what polishing products you need. Basically there are two types of polishing agents, chemicals and creams. Chemical metal polishes are akin to Pre-wax paint cleaners. This would include Klasse AIO, Meguiar's Clear Coat Body Scrub Paint Cleaner and others. Metal cream polishes are akin to paint polishes such as Meguiar's DACP or 3M's SMR. Chemical cleaners, such as EO Nevr-Dull Wadding Polish or Prowax's All Metal Polish seem to be more fitting to cleaning the surface from metal oxidation. Polishing creams like 3M's Chrome and Metal Polish or Wenol's red, blue or pink polishes actually cut into the metal to give a more reflective shine.

Polishing metal is just like polishing your paint. You need different levels of cutting qualities from the products you are using to achieve the finest finish.

i recently tried Maas polishing creme on my windows, and metal rims, it worked great...also is easy to find, home depot etc has it.

its used to polish fancy flatware, belt buckles, things like that.

I like the "wadding" types - Never Dull and the like. I've had good results from Brasso as well - usually available with the household cleaners.
