Chenille Microfiber Wash Mitts..Review

Just One More Coat
I brought one of these over the holiday for myself...I used it today for the first time...I'm going to call it the mitt of a thousand fingers:D

The very first impression that I had was it seems to grip the surface of the paint..meaning that it doesn't glide over the surface...but rather feels like it needs to be pushed along...this is not a bad thing its picking up the dirt as it goes along...and any areas that need some extra rubbing you can feel the grip.

The chenille fingers are the best part...I felt like it was getting into the cracks and crevasse of the car...when I was pressing it up on cracks and such...I could see the little fingers getting into those area.....unlike my natural wool mitt or natural sea sponge...it really is work horse of a mitt IMO..It holds a good amount of soapy water and dosen't seem to just release all the liquid once you lift it from the bucket...and allows you to squeeze it on the car as you wash the panel...that's a huge plus for me!

I didn't use the mitt part but for a minute or two....but for those that do...it works well as an on hand mitt if that's your choice for washing.

Bottom line this is a good addition as a wash mitt for anyone..if your like me..I have a lot of different ones for various reasons..this one has a place in my wash mitts place:D:D:D

I have been using my chenille dreadlock style when using ONR. I do want to try it with regular soap when it gets warmer. However, I do not put my hand in the miit but hold it like a sponge. I will wipe once and then flip the mitt and wipe with the other side. I find the mitt seems heavier than my lamb's wool wash mitt (absorbs a lot more liquid).

Gotta agree with both reviewers:

I find the lack of gliding a negative, especially after a recent wax or sealant. Kinda feels like I'm being cheated out of that slippery, gliding after working my ass off on a detail.

I use the "dreadlock" mitt with ONR as well. It's the go-to mitt for a really grimey, cruddy car. I save the lambswool for it's gratifying slippery feel on the fresher wax jobs and the not-so-cruddy washes.

I purchased the same mitt a few months back, IT is still in the wrapper right next to several other detailing items that I have to many of. IT is good to hear that it cleans well. One would only hope with all those extra fingers reaching out and grabbing the paint and that it is cleaning the paint surface without scratching.
