Chamois Care

Thanks for everyones help with my microfiber care thread. If your a fan of genuine, authentic chamois, what is the best method for cleaning them? I usually just put the two chamois I use through a rinse cycle with cold water in the washer.

I don't use chamois,but my grandfather always used one,he used liquid hand soap to clean it after each use,and stored the chamois in a plastic bag so that it didn't dry out completly.He claimed that the liquid hand soap kept the chamois soft/supple,and prevented drying and cracking :nixweiss
