Alright so I made the jump into carpet cleaning 
We have a home that has that old 1960 - 70'sish shag carpet. With 30 year old black spots. So I got my handy new 4gal 5hp pro vac and made up my own carpet cleaning chemicals. I bought the Zep heavy traffic carpet cleaner with the Zep Heavy Shampoo and then mixed that up Zep Heavy Cleaner 2 parts then 2 parts shampoo, then maybe an Oz at most of grim reaper and some bubble gum flavored spray!
works like a charm, kinda got a purplish pink look, but it works spray scrub and wait then vacuum up after 3 minutes.
Does that sound right? I am experimenting on my carpets in my home before I get started on customers cars.
