Carpet cleaning with OXY

hello,

I have just finshed cleaning my carpets with OXY and thought you may be interested in the results. I have also included pics of the cockpit cleaned with BMW emulsion, which is superb for cleaning the dash etc, and importantly not adding a shine, but leaving a perfectly as new flat finish. I love this product for dash cleaning. Pics are all in my gallery here

haha thanks, I noticed that myself from the photo's and went back out to complete the job, its amazing when you photograph your work how much you see that you missed!

well thanks again, I have to say that this perhaps should be lifted and placed in GSRstilez thread as pointed out by ZaneO above, as it was after reading his post that I did this. So the credit should go to him, and if a mod reads this, could you place this inside there if possible, many thanks.

Sorry for posting in the wrong place :)

Axe: Looks great!

Definately looks like a hard color to make work of, but you did. How did you extract the solution?

GSRstilez: thanks! And yes the problem with light coloured carpets is that they show the slightest of marks.

Firstly I mixed approx half - three quarter full bucket of warm / hot water with a full scoop full of OXY.

Then I took the mats out of the car, and brought them indoors! I basically used a terry type towel which I dipped in the water and OXY mixture and rubbed the carpets with this.

I then took a dry white terry towel and rubbed the dampened cleaned areas hard - thereby taking most of the solution back out of the carpet. A white terry towel helps, because once the carpet is clean you can tell as your terry no longer becomes dirty as you rub.

I did the same to the carpet fixed inside the car, works a treat thanks for the tip GSRstilez :)
