Car-lack & Poly-lack

My company has a English office and I may be able to get some of these products. If anyone has used either of them, i would appreciate some input.

As I understand things, Car-lack is similar to AIO (this is a good thing!) but what confuses me, is Poly-lack similar to SG? The cleaning tips at the CAR_LACK web sight indicates Poly-lack is a cleaner and protectant for paint and plastic. Nothing is said, in English anyway, about layerability.

Should I get one of each?

Thanks

It's rumoured that Car-lack makes Klasse. There is a very recent thread about this.

Yeah stevet, I saw that thread.

Just to clarify my question then,

Given that I can obtain Car-lack, is Poly-lack even necessary? Will it remove the Car-lack (given it's cleaning abilities) or will it just clean off the contaminents ON TOP OF the Car_lack?

I have forgotten which is which, the best thing to do is email Carlack in Germany. They were very helpful when I contacted them.

If you can already buy Klasse, why buy Carlack

Just to try it out  - I'm autopian, after all :D

Maybe the Car-lack formulation is "better" than Klasse in some way. Who knows, until they are checked out side by side..... :nixweiss

Maybe Poly-lack is "God's gift for shine and protection". Again who knows.... :nixweiss

Then again, if someone out there HAS tried them singley or together and disses then, I'll save my money.

According to a friendly PR lady, Carlack 68 is about 95% the same as Klasse AIO; while the remaining 5% is the packaging. Long Life Acryl Wax is a QD. No word about SG.

I've been in contact with Car-Lack in Germany about this very subject in the past. They seemed a bit surprised that I knew about the Car-Lack/Klasse relationship.

Anyway, the nice lady that I had communications with told me that the 'Car-Lack 68' polish is the AIO equivalent and the 'Long-Life Acryl Wax' is the SG equivalent (this comes in a yellow trigger spray bottle).

One other interesting comment she made was that these two products are not exactly the same, but are 95% the same - what that's supposed to mean, I don't know! Maybe they are exactly the same, but they're not allowed to say so?

From what people have said, it seems this stuff is virtually the same as the K-twins, so I'm not going to bother.

Thanks to all for their comments.

Years ago my dad had a project called "porci-lack" (spelling?). It was VERY similar to AIO but unrefined. If you let it dry on the car, you almost needed a belt sander to get it off. I believe the company that made it devised it from a formulation of acrylic floor wax.
