I have a pic, but it won't be up til later tonight...

The car got egged, It sat overnight, and I got it off the next day, but it was raining, so I didn't get to really inspect or clean. I FI-II'ed it lwith a yellow pad ast night, but it's etched pretty good... Any ideas? It's an area about 2-3 inches wide, and shaped like a half circle...

Also, what do you guys recommend to remove the hazing and micro scratching from FI-II? This is the first time I've really dug into the finish with it, and the P21S GEP didn't get em out.

Thanks!

I'm sorry to hear about your car. People can be such a@#$%^&*. Did you go over the area with FI2 multiple times or just once? If only once then you may want to try a couple of more passes, otherwise step up to a more agressive polish.

As for the haze: I've always used Klasse AIO to remove my haze. On a black car you may need to AIO (or any other mild polish) more than once to remove the haze as it may be more noticable on that colour.

Let us know how it goes.

You can probably minimize the effect by buffing, but it's probably through the clearcoat. If it is not much can be done.:(

I'm sorry to here about that. I too was a victim of egging (5 eggs). Too bad I tried to fix it before I found Autopia. I have much better luck covering most of the damage with the Autosharp paint pen. The factory touch-up brush in a bottle would run, drip, blob, and not go to where you want it. Coverage is much better with the pen. Good luck.

Thanks.... Luckily (although that hardly applies) most of the egg got on my windshield and my cloth top. I was able to remove all of that without problem, but the one part that dripped down to my drivers door etched. It's the worst spot for a blemish. Every time I look at the car it's all I see...

I didn't have much time to go over it with FI 2, so i'm sure I can do better, but I went over it once or twice. It was enough to haze up the paint more than i've seen out of FI-2 before (i've used over 1/2 of the bottle so far) but I didn't AIO it or anything like that..

I'm sure I'll get most of it out, after repeated use, and some time, but right now, the car's dirty, hazed and etched. It's a beautiful day too..

Ah well, such is life. Life with a black daily driver in a city....

Edit: I should also note that I had AIO topped with S100 on the car at the time, and it seems to have provided no protection at all. Not that I expected it to, just an observation.

Used to be a fun thing to do when I was 10. Guess you don't really think that your damaging someones paint j0b at that age.

Yeah I'm concerned about Haloween this year. Last year my dad got his LS400 egged and gave it to me to detail. Luckily its silver so I was able to remove any etching, at least make it unnoticeable. I'm going to leave my car in the garage and drive the Explorer I think this year lol (first haloween with the new car ;) )

For the hazing, I had good luck removing DACP haze with PI-III MG.
