OR99.5Speed

New member
Hey guys,
I am new to Detail City and semi-new to Autopia.com. I would love to know more about the products used to detail my car and what works with what. I am on a fast learning curve and will be buying a PC soon.

I just purchased a 1999.5 Nissan Pathfinder. Sterling Silver/Charcoal cloth. This one is super rare, as it has the rare Offroad Pkg with the exterior spare and limited-slip. It is a rare 5-speed manual with four-wheel-drive. It also has the Moonroof and Bose. I love it!

Here it is without even a wash (I haven't had time):

Anyone know how to solve these cosmetic issues?

Clay bar and polish? It has a bit of paint removed, but is not down to metal or primer:

Take it to a body shop?

Woolite/ Water combo on the seat?

Thanks all! Shoot forth with recommendations!

Looks like that bumper will have to be touched up with some paint. Other than that, it looks like repairable spots. Sound slike you have a good game plan in place so far. Congrats on your new ride.

cool truck. She'll probably clean right up, except for that bumper. If you want to get that touched up, I have a close friend who does spot paint work. PM me and I'll give you his info. How do ya like Atlanta so far?

Thanks for the replies. I am a bit nervous about applying the touch-up paint on that back bumper, but at least the plastic itself is undamaged.

As to Atlanta, I am a native. I will be going to Indiana U.- Bloomington next year as a freshman, so I have a bit of adjustment. Right now I am a high-school senior at a private boarding school in Chattanooga, TN. The Montana plate is from when I lived in Bozeman, MT over the summers.

Way2Slow:

I am from the Buckhead area, and I can't wait to leave. Everywhere is traffic, traffic, traffic, and everything looks the same. I hate getting lost in my hometown, but it happens all the time. Alpharetta traffic sucks! Sorry to be negative, but its not my kind of place.

I will be in St. Simons Island, GA and I have a bodyshop connection there. Thanks though for the offer of your buddy.
