Car culture poster...

YNOT

Poorboys Rules!
So...after being inspired by my new favorite artist Jeral Tidwell, I decided to try my hand at something a little different.

What you see here is an 11-3/4x36" poster I created of some of my own personal favorite old-school hot rod memorabilia...flames, pinstriping, 'steelie' wheel and of course a pin-up model's sexy shoe. Ya can't have cool cars without sexy women...right?

Anyway, this is my first poster of this style...I've got more ideas for some others that are more model and genre specific, but I wanted this one to kind of appeal to anyone who's into ol' hot rods. I'm going to get this one output and framed and may possibly get some printed to sell on my web site if people seem to like it.

So, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated...

Sweet design, do you do any free hand pin striping ? I've been following David Vicente lately. He's in Car Kulture DeLuxe this month, he's not bad for a French guy.

Very Cool! Let me know when you start selling them. I've a got customer who loves older cars, and has about 12 different ones. His lastest work is a frame off 55 chevy restoration. He would probably like something like this.

I'm sorry I don't get it... I see a rim without a tire and a shoe left behind by a hooker. If it's a car poster shouldn't there be a car in it?

It's not a 'car' poster...it's a 'car culture' poster.

I created it using some of my favorite 'hot rod' type elements and stuff. I've got some car posters planned, but this one was to just be more general...something to appeal to anyone into hot rodding.

That make more sense to you?

Sorry no, don't get me wrong I'm not belittling your artistic talent, just the subject of this particular poster. If it didn't have the words hot rod in it I would think it's an ad for a Las Vegas casino
