Car Capsule Alternatives?

I have been looking at getting some sort of cover for my car, since it just sits in the garage most of the time and gets dust all over it, literally. I have thought about getting one of the Car Capsule covers, CarCapsule: The Ultimate Car Cover, but it looks to be more of a hassle than anything. I don't really like the idea of having to lay the plastic cover on the vehicle, and a fan being the only thing supporting it up. I do drive the car once in a while, so I don't whatever road dirt that has accumulated to mar the vehicle.

Are the any other indoor covers out there that do not make contact with the surface, yet encapsualtes it in a cover?

You can get a Car Jacket like I have. It zips closed encompassing the entire car. You can throw desiccant bags it comes with for long tern storage to dry out any moisture in the air inside once you zip it closed.

RedlineIRL- Please post back about what you end up doing and how you like it.

I've thought about this a lot....I used to cover the Jag but I finally decided I wanted to SEE it, so I left it uncovered the last few years it was here (before putting it in mothballs at my pal's shop). I simply liked seeing the car better than seeing the carcover.

This same thing was bugging me with the S8 so I bought a cover for that one too. The cover's still in the box, the S8's still getting dusty, and I'm still wondering about the whole thing. But once again, I simply like seeing my car sitting there looking all ready to go...well, ready for a quick wash at least :o

The visibility advantage is the reason why I see myself eventually upgrading to Car Capsule/Car Coon .

I hear ya..wish our power didn't go out so often, I can't help but wonder about that. Just went out again this Monday.

It looks like it makes contact with the car when putting it on. I was looking for something more so that surrounds the car, but doesn't actually touch it or require much effort at getting the car out for sudden urge drives.

I like the idea of having the car visible, but I am with you on the power. Latey we have been having random outages also. A battery backup might be a solution for a quick outage, but a few weeks ago it was out for a couple hours for no reason at all

Wow! That's got to be the best indoor storage unit I've ever seen! :bigups

The pricing however, stings a bit, especially for the one I would need, but it sure does seem like the best so far.

Heh heh, a "couple of hours" outage would be sooo minor compared to our usual issues that we'd hardly take notice of it!

Wow, that exactly what I am looking for. I am going to have to get in contact with them and see what shipping to the US will run. I have a feeling its pretty steep

I sure do like the sound of that internal frame! Hmmm...gotta drive into it though; I'd want to put it in the back corner where I have to use my Go-Jack (?SP?) things to position it. But for somebody positioning it normally it oughta be great.

RedlineIRL- Post back if you get a shipping quote. They might find there's a big market for 'em over here.
