Can you say Irony?

A publicist saying her client has been out of the news for so long?? I guess a Hollywood starlet would likely fire that publicist, but in Ms. Lynch's case it's probably a good thing; I'm sure she just wants to get on with her life.

Do you have a publicist? I don't. And neither of us are in the news.

The best way to stay out of the news is to not have a publicist. So if she wants to stay out of the news, then why....

they cut the rest of the publicist quote...

...which I think she appreciates, but it's been hell on me, I bought a new 3 series and I don't get paid unless I talk about her. Next week, I'm putting her on the talk show circuit and there will be an hour long primitime interview with her on Dateline next month.

I suspect the girl got herself a publicist to handle all the media attention on her that she probably felt ill-equipped to deal with....I can imagine it is not easy to become an instant media celebrity after being wounded, captured and recovering from multiple physical injuries as well as emotional ones, like survivor's guilt....she lost some of her colleagues/ friends in that firefight when she was captured. I would think a lessening in attention would reduce the amount of retelling of her experiences asked of her by others, reducing the amount of reliving that terror in the daytime at least.....I'm sure she still has her nightmares to keep her company at night, bless her heart.

The most ironic part is where the publicist says "she's not readily recognizable"...right next to a recent picture.
