What do you guys think of "Black Magic Detailing" ?

Would that name be too controversial?

Long story short.. I had a really good friend of mine that owned a shop called "Black Magic Motorsports", he passed away a few years ago due to illnesses (along with medical malpractice) and honestly I like the name and it would be a nice tribute to my friend that passed.

I like the name but I also dont want to drive business away based on a name. Black Magic could also be attributed to some of the really nice work Ive done on black vehicles.

What do you guys think?

While the thoughts behind the name is certainly admirable. I dont think its the best for detailing purposes. Black Magic is actually a brand of detailing products which you prolly already know. Im sure you can think of something though to honor your friend that will still be a "business" friendly name.

If you would like to keep the 'Black Magic' aspect,(indeed a nice tribute), you might consider using this as an abreviation, eg BM Detailing,or BMM Detailing.

IMHO, Work with his legal name, you know like Andrew *****. Initials, something he used to always say, etc. Not everyone needs to know what or why you named your business what you did. It's to insure that his memory and passion for vehicles lives on. :sadwavey:

I agree with everyone else. You should look at a different approach to naming your shop that will be reflective of your friend's memory.
