I need a recommendation for a good bug and tar remover. If I can get it at a store that would be the most ideal, but if I have to order it I can.

The turtle wax bug and tar remover is not bad at the retail level. You could also get some 3M tar and wax remover. Both are available at any parts store OR wal-mart.

For tar I've always had good success with PRO's Pro-Sol.
For Bugs I always soak the front end of the vehicle in water and then an all purpose cleaner. AutoInt has a nice cleaner that just works great. I'll soak the vehicle in it and proceed to clean the wheels/tires. If it's really hot out, then after each wheel I'll stop and rewet the front of the vehicle. Really softens up the bugs.
