Best tire cleaner out there?

Hello fellow members! I did a search for tire cleaners since I'm in the market and most of the threads were over 3 years ago. There has had to be mayor improvements since then so my question is, which one is the best specifically for tires? I'm going with PB S&R for my wheels so now need a great product for my tires. I've read threads of people saying S&R cleans tires but doesn't do that good of a job on them. Please help a new member out. Thanks in advance. :)

Oh boy...

For me, the tried and true method is using both Megs APC+ (1:5) and Megs Super Degreaser (1:5). Wet tire with the hose, spray BOTH cleaners on, and scrub thoroughly with a short bristle brush. Rinse, and voila!

For tires that get cleaned with some modicum of regularity I've found that Blackfire Wheel & Tire Cleaner also does a great job.

After re-reading my post it sort of sounds like I'm bashing PB products. Please believe me that I'm not. Most of my car cleaning products are from PB. I was thinking, will their APC do great on tires? I don't have any on hand at the moment. I will make sure to add it to my cart for my next order. I heard EO A2Z works great on tires. Has anyone here used it?

I like Blackfire wheel and tire cleaner. I think it works great even on neglected wheels and tires. I really like that I can use one product for both wheels and tires

The best tire cleaner I have used is Eagle One Tire and Rubber Cleaner. I not sure if it is even availble anymore. All I know is that the crud would just pour down the tire. I stocked up on it years ago when Sears was clearing out their stock for $1 a bottle :)

megs apc at 4:1

if I need something stronger, after the tire is wet I'll use amazing roll off

Best is just what is best for you. 4:1, or greater as necessary, dilutions of a good APC has been a proven performer for cleaning tires and wheels for me for a long time. In fact on many wheels a heavy wash concentration works well enough. I switched to AM's Triple 7 APC a couple years back. Works well at the different dilution rates and is a price performer.

If your doing the tires regurally.... Poorboys bold and bright...

Power Clean, Tuf Shine Tire Cleaner, Hi Temp Tire Cleaner.

Biggest thing is the scrubbing action & allowing the chemical to dwell on a dry tire since it purges out all the dirt. Noticed huge differences in performance.

Since I found the Tuff Shine prep tools, cleaner and brush, I don't ever pick up one of those tire brushes that require contortionist abilities and hulk arms to get a good scrub.

The Tuff Shine cleaner and brush is all I'll ever need for "clean" tires.
