Best "self cleaning" product that you`ve used?

What`s the best Self-Cleaning product that you`ve used where you actually noticed the car was staying cleaner, longer?

A ceramic coating. I`ve noticed a difference.

Coatings I`ve used are noticeably better than sealants. CarPro`s CQuartz UK is quite good as is Gyeon CanCoat for those I`ve tried.

As for sealants, the best was Wolfgang`s SIO2 Paint Sealant (the liquid in the bottle, not a spray product), but coatings are still better.

A lot of coatings will do this really well.

Non-coating... I still think Sonax Polymer Netshield takes the cake.

Ceramic coatings and coating lites. Adam’s Graphene spray coating is good too but i would say it is a step below coating lites but better than any “sealant” out there.

As for sealant type products i like things with Sio2. Polish Angel Cosmic and Kamikaze OverCoat are tops. Reacts like a coating.

Gyeon wax is as good but i feel it’s coating like self cleaning is done in a month. Still good but not as good as aforementioned products.

I`ll say the same: any/all coatings I`ve used.

I recently applied the new Turtle Wax Graphene Flex spray product. I have high expectations for it come this winter.

Re: Best "self cleaning" product that you`ve used?

Pretty much every ceramic coating I`ve used or applied has demonstrated great self cleaning properties provided that is the end-LSP. I`ve currently got CarPro SiC on my own which is right up there for self cleaning.. pretty good all round actually!

Lite coatings also offer good self cleaning, comparable to fully fledged coatings in many cases. I`m testing a new 9-12 month (conservative) graphene based spray coating at the moment and whilst the batch I have is slightly over-concentrated and tricky to use, the results thus far for self cleaning blow anything else I`ve experienced out of the water.

I`ve got it on 5 cars that I see regularly, all different usage/maintenance, so I`m keeping my fingers crossed that it does indeed outlast Cancoat / Moonlight before I rave about it too much / do a full write up.

I am going to be applying the new Hyper-Seal soon which is a Sio2 and SIC coating lite product.

Isn’t hyper seal Opti Coats maintenance topper? If so i doubt it will have the solids in it that you usually get from the likes of Cancoat or CQlite.

Interested to hear your thoughts though. Been looking at that and glasparency Boost but then i look at my LSP’s and have to talk myself out of it.

That`s a good question, I don`t know. You can use it as a drying aid too. From what I have read and heard you can get up to a year out of it. New Formula came out in May 2021 so there are few reviews of it.

Nice... will be glad to hear yours.

I was told this version is their best sealant and aimed at the ceram lite spray coating market.

Yeah no coating lite i know of is known as a maintenance topper or can be used as a drying aid. Regardless it would be a sweet product if you could get a year

Besides Coatings....

FK1000P is simply amazing in this regard. IME it`s even better than the old M16 and the offerings from Collinite...and those work well too.

See above^^^^.

ceramic coating is the best option for me,
It`s a better way to protect from dust and scratches, and is more durable.

+1 for an ceramic here. The only other non ceramic product was soft 99 fusso and it was just ok all other waxes and sealants almost seem to attract light dust for me

Agree!

FK1000P and Fusso Soft99 will survive our extreme Wisconsin winters with Salt, brine, snow, ice, rain and harsh soap from our touch-less car wash stations.
