Best filler wax

a cleaner polish that leaves behind oils like VM/RMG/#7 followed by a heavy carnauba like collinite would hide a good amount of swirling. Though I haven't used it, it's been said a number of times on here that GEPC has a good amount of fillers in it.

Yeah, a "heavy" carnauba. I never find them to work all *that* well at this, but having a glaze under the wax will help a lot. In fact, that's what I use on cars that can't stand any more polishing- glaze + heavy carnauba.

The "heavy" waxes include Meg's #16 (and to a lesser extent their #26), Collinite (especially IMO their pastes), and One Grand's Blitz (don't get this on black trim). I hear Meguiar's NXT does some hiding too but I've never gotten around to trying mine.

NXT does hide to some degree, just not as well as a glaze/carnauba combo. And with the less than adequate durability, I never really used it much.

don't count out Turtle Wax Platinum (mix of synthetic/poly and nube)

This product will hide tons of swirls and is relatively cheap, easy to use and avail everywhere....

did I mention it'll hide tons of swirls.

dont laugh guys, TW Platinum (albeit a swear word around here!) is a nice product,, BUT it gets "shunned" on these forums where fancy botique products are the faves.

Yeah, both NXT and TWPUG have very good hiding ability.

TWPUG looks premium as Steck suggested. The only negative is that it has poor durability - you'll need to wax atleast every month...which isn't an issue for most wax obsessed Autopians. :)

To sum up: Super looks, good hiding ability, great price, layerable, poor durability.

BTW, TWPUG Detail Spray also hides swirls - multiple applications improve swirl hiding ability! Looks good too.

I never got much hiding from the 1Z stuff :nixweiss I still use WPS as a penultimate product on my wife's A8 but I always have to get rid of the marring first. I know it's supposed to work well at hiding holograms though, I just never tried it on that.

I must admit I'm a bit of a WPS fan and managed to hide a lot of the swirls on this Audi A8 by using the WPS, I used it with a lake country polishing pad via PC.
