Auto Finesse Tough Prep Pre Sealant Paint Cleanser quick review

Detailing Gnosis
I picked up a bottle of Auto Finesse Tough Prep from DD to bump up an order and used it today as I prep'ed a DD paint for a new sealant (have not decided which one yet).

Application: I used a Rupes 15 with a Uber 5-inch Blue Finishing pad.

It has a chemical scent and was extremely easy to use.

It does not dry out in the pad like some pre-wax cleaners and when used sparingly would almost disappear while working. It was super easy to wipe off (better than any paint cleaner I have used) even if you over applied it and left the paint spotless with minimal effort.

The other attribute is that it left the paint slick feeling. I did half a hood with Four Star Pre-Wax Cleaner and then the other half with AF Touch prep (used different pads and mf towels) and could feel the different when wiping with a microfiber.

It is definitely a niche product but a breeze to use. I have no expectations to prove it makes sealants last longer.

Thanks for the review. I haven't read a lot about this product. My questions is what's the difference between this and the wax pre cleanser from AF besides the name.? What makes it different?

Many paint cleaners often lead something behind (contain oils, fillers, etc) and Tough Coat supposedly leaves NOTHING behind. This supposedly to allow optimum bonding for sealants. Paint cleaners are supposedly better for applying waxes.

great review thanks for sharing. at the shop we have found Auto Finesse Tough Prep to be great cleaning up the bug and tar off cars with clear film.

Tough prep is for sealant base (tough coat, Power seal)
Rejuvenate is a pre-wax with slight cut and leaves filler behind
Tripple is AIO (filler heavy cleanser with wax)
