Go over to the Ritz Carlton hotel and say 'hi' to my aunt....i dunno....lol
Yeah theres actually alot of cool stuff to see there.....
Theres a Dennys there that I'll never forget.....quite possibly the nicest Dennys I've ever been to......
What you'll notice is that in the gift stores and stuff, theres LOTS of nekked ladies (Not real, but like towells, post cards, tee-shirts, etc.)
Last time we went (2 years ago) we actually were walking across the street when we heard this sorta funny noise.....turned out to be about 200 mopeds cruising around.....lol they are VERY popular in PR. Even the Pizza Hut delivery kid had a "Pizza Hut" Moped.
As far as tourist attractions, unless you've got alot of time and enjoy historical sites, theres not much...Dont think there are any in SanJuan, but there are some caves that you go on tours and stuff...they're pretty neat but i get fairly easily creeped out by big bugs......lets just say that I still cringe when I see a beetle. There was one walking on a picnic table outside the caves that, no joke, was about the size of a computer mouse.
Since your going on a cruise, you probably dont have toooo much time to be able to see the sites AND to enjoy the atmosphere, so I'd recomend just staying in the city, walking around, go into the stores, try to find something that interests you...
I'm assuming that unlike me, you are of legal gambling age.....Go check out the casino at the Ritz (Peek your head in the jewlery store while your there....some EXPENSIVE stuff there....EXPENSIVE.) Its fairly small and seems like a very relaxed envoronment....we were waiting for my aunt to get off work and my dad went in and got rid of his pocket change (Unfortunatly on his first try at one of the machines, was up like 8 bucks but decided to use that $ to try for some bigger $, LOL) and lets just say there were some sorta strange characters going in and out.
Well...sorry for my big and almost useless post, LOL....when we go we usually just hang around Ponce at my aunts place.....
What you want to do, (Assuming that your flying to PR) get a flight that will arrive in the evening......I think it was like a 6 hour flight or something.....but really, you'll be in awe when the plane comes in, especially if this is your first visit to the island.....it is just an awsome sight. Then you can go to the Dennys in San Juan. Unlike over here, there are actually decent people working at the fast food places and the 'quick' restaurants....
