Another hurricane heading for the gulf states...

Gas prices jumped $4.00 a barrel today putting it back up beyond $67 dollars a barrel. Why, you might ask? Because another tropical storm is heading toward the gulf and it is getting bigger. I have heard predictions that it will reach a category 4 size. It is estimated to hit the coast of Texas and Louisiana around Friday and hit hard through the weekend.

Look up Hurricane Rita on Google or CNN or wherever you get your news for the current status.

On a side note... Hurricane names are preselected years in advance. In fact, here are the names for the rest of this year and the next few. We have never really gone through all of the names in any given year, but if we get another storm after Wilma then they will have to start over with the Greek alphabet. I just thought I'd add an interesting tidbit to the end of a very gloomy post.

i just hope its done by ocotober.......im taking a trip down there and id rather not have to leave because of a hurricane. yea it sucks. i just filled up yesturday at 2.54 or somthing like that. and from what i heard it was going towards the keys and then maybe to neworlines?!?

$2.54? I don't want to hear your griping. Nothing less than $2.79 around here and that is even low grade 85 octane crap. I'd love to see it go down to $2.54 on a weekend. I'd fill my car and 3 or 4 10 gallon gas cans.

I like to see it go down to $2.79, the best i've seen is $2.95 :down:, but I have heard of people getting it as low as $2.89, but I think they may have only been dreaming :fear:

you should see the wait to see a specialist in canada, sometimes up 18 months for cancer, knee replacemnents, etc. we aren't deducted a health insurance premium, just close to 40% income tax rate. :hump:
