Alkalinity vs. Acidity...

Hey fellas, I'm curious. Is an alkaline solution just as bad as an acidic solution? For example, APCs. Some are acidic, which we know are bad and have to be careful where it is used. However, are the alkaline ones just as dangerous, or do you really get the best of both worlds...ie. the cleaning power of acid, and the gentleness of neutral water? Thanks. :)

I always thought most APCs for cars were alkaline based? Especially for interiors. When working with Alkaline based products, I don't neutralize them. With acid, I always do.

So David, you're telling me then that an alkaline solution is pretty much safe on any surface?
