Thanks Sean and Acc. it really does mean a lot. Tasty hit the nail on the head when he mentioned how not many people take pride in their work these days. It's really sad how hard the customer has to work to find someone who is willing to stand behind their work. A few of our customers have had 3 or 4 different companies there to maintain the lawn with sub-par results; and the worst part is, these customers aren't looking for a work of art. They just want their place to look nice.
To the others with lawncare experience, I hear ya when it comes to trimming and flying debris and what not, sometimes it's tough. However, some people have no concern for what's around them when they begin trimming, and that's where the problem lies. When mowing along a road, when I see a car coming, I will stop the mower and turn off the blades. Not only to save the paint on the car, but because it's potentially dangerous as well as expensive if say a window gets blown out... who do you think has to pay for it? But if these companies are ok with this amount of carelessness, to each his own I guess... but don't complain when the nice guy gets your customers.
