I'd already pre-inspected this job, so wasnt going to be hit with any surprises. Apart from trying to clean it on a very windy day.
The motorhome is a Coachbuild and currently has 21 years between its date of registration and today. No spring chicken, and certainly not been as well cared for in the most recent years.
Here's the beauty:
No joking, its very heavily stained by the weather and standing water.
Anyone who has cleaned/owned one of these will know the worst place is always the roof!
So, out with the foam gun on the karcher, the ladders, my extending brush and hope I don't get blown away like a kite! Washing was great fun in the wind, had a couple of 'squeeky bum' moments as I had to reach for the roof or find myself lying a~$e up on the floor some feet below.
Once cleaned I let it dry (the wind does have some uses), and then moved it into the unit I arranged for the day. How glad was I to have done this! :hail

Once inside, and all dry, out with the Porter Cable, a wolfgang polishing pad and Meguiars Cleaner Wax. Below are some half and half shots of work in progress on the roof:
Covered the whole vehicle, and left to cure whilst I had a brew and some fruit. Then back round removing the wax with MFs, applied AG Bumper Gel to the plastics and Poorboys Bold n Brite to the tyres.
