A Miracle Detailing

The paint was covered in minor (DISO) Swirls.
Interestingly enough the PTG was all over the board on the thickness.
Sadly, there were lots of fish eyes in the factory paint.

Merlin:
I wish you could have posted pics of the `"fish-eyes" from the factory paint, but I am not sure if they would have shown up in the pics.

In removing the "fish-eyes" does this also remove some or all of the factory orange peel so prevalent in today`s new-vehicle paints??
I also assume that this is why you used Dr. Beasly`s NSP 150 Heavy Cut Primer to do so, and not some other compound.
Do you use a panel prep liquid prior to applying the coating?? I see none listed.
(Questions, question, questions; always questions, Captain Obvious.... Now I see what you put Sizzle Chest through when he posts pics of his vehicle detailing exploits!)

Thanks for posting the pics and process. As always, great work on this Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Velvet Red Pearlcoat and its many variants offer by other vehicle manufacturers is very popular color hue. (From someone who`s wife has a 2015 Ford Taurus in Ruby Red Tinted Clearcoat Metallic)

Fish Eyes were all over the paint. In many cases I do not try to remove (spot sand) the factory paint "fish-eyes" unless the person specifically requests it.
I have a few reasons for this...but I do not do it unless it is requested and I have explained the disclaimer and risk.
In some cases, "If you pop dat` bubble you could be in a heap o` trouble."
I don`t want "Next Stop, Body shop" to be on my dime.

Actually no, I wanted to give the NSP 150 a try. The Jeep had minimal swirls. This was my first go with taking it "once around the block".
I found NSP 150 IMHO to be a medium cut. Come to think of it...It don`t remember it dusting at all.???

Yes, I have been using Carpro Eraser for a long time. I like the way it works and I love the way it smells.
Sadly, if I listed "everything" I used brushes, cleaners, towels, qtips etc. This would be very long post.

On another note. NSP 45 is a finishing primer and IIRC, panel prep liquid wipe down before applying a ceramic coating is not required.

No Prob! I don`t mind questions. That is what a forum is for. Otherwise it would be a lot of PM messages and not sharing information.

Thank for asking!

Did you check out the vid in the top post?
The term Merlin Shot is you. Your work has stood out so many times on this forum. That said, I can’t think of “Merlin Shot” and not think of our old buddy Ron. I sure miss that guy, I know this forum does.
