Hey guys. Likely a super quick question
Picked up. We ride last tue and when home noticed a dull spot. Wasn’t too concerned other than wondering what it would be from. It just came off the truck that day
Today I hit it for 20 seconds with the little boss. White pad and griots cream
Seemed to work. Just hope it doesn’t make a habit of returning lol

Probably a factory sand mark to remove a dirt spot, happens all the time. Just be careful on the edges of the Asian cars, the paint is really thin on some of those.

Why would you put that thought in my head Accumulator! Lol
Would a paint thickness meter tell me if any clear coat?

Heh heh, forewarned is forearmed :D But don`t go looking for problems..just see if it *does* come back, if not, no worries. IF so, paintgun time.

Other than the unit Stokdgs linked, it`s most likely to just show that there`s less paint (i.e., clearcoat) left there compared to surrounding areas, but I doubt it`d give the kind of drastically different numbers that would really say much.

Could also be as simple as a little residue left from the plastic wrap that protects during transportation. Or as mentioned before a sanding mark that wasn`t buffed out completly. Just have that spot in mind later down the road when you polishing it.

That`s a factory sanding mark, run over it with a little 205 and a rupes yellow pad it, it will vanish in 5 seconds on any random DA.
