I had the absolute pleasure of working on a 2011 XJL Supercharged Jaguar last week. Let me comment and add to some of what Sully said about this beautiful vehicle. I was able to drive it about 6 miles from picking it up to my house and then again back. Let me tell you...features galore on this vehicle! Sully said, it is neat how the gear selector knob pops up and allows you to shift from park to drive, etc with the turn of a knob. The transmission is very smooth and this vehicle had a TON of power! The all digital dash was really cool...it was almost like playing a video game. I would hate to see what it costs should it break, though. Upon picking up the car, the styling immediately caught my eye. It is a mean looking car; but for a sports luxury, the handling, performance and comfort was unbelievable. Sully hit the nail on the head, when he said they left nothing out when designing this vehicle. The quality was unreal. From the leather wrapped dash to "real" velvet type fabric for the headliner, to the woodgrain on the dash, etc. The only thing that I didn't like (from a detailer's point of view) is the felt that they put near the door seals around all doors. It was a pain to clean fuzz, fur, etc. off of. The floor mats were a nice plush carpet material, as was the regular floor carpeting. It was an all around beautiful vehicle; and I guess for around $93,000.00 it should be.
This vehicle had approximately 7,000 miles on it, and had some minor scratches. The paint, in my opinion was very soft and a dream to work on. It corrected awesome.
