2006 Mazdaspeed6 in black

I picked up this car about 5-6 weeks ago. I made sure to ask the dealer not to wash the car, which they didn't. But it had obviously gone through a few dealer washes on the lot before, as there was quite a bit of marring. Gotta love those dealers.

For some reason, no befores. I thought I had taken some, but I guess I didn't. :(

The process was wash, clay, OP via PC (rotary on a couple of more stubborn spots), 4* UPP, Pinnacle Souveran, DG AW x2...

Thanks for looking!

Hey said:
I love Mazda's Black Mica, and you certainly did it justice!! Very nicely done!

How's the car drive?

Thanks, Moe and Juztang!

It drives wonderfully. At around 3k the turbo really throws you back in the seat. The boost tapers before redline though, so I find myself short-shifting to keep in the boost range.

Handling's good for a stock car. It's really well-balanced between comfort and handling IMO.

Wow.. looks stunning! I didnt know they made the 6 in a turbo model... I might have to go check those out. :)

Back when the 6s came out I did a little autocross demonstration that Mazda put on called "Rev It Up". Basically they set up a course, provided the cars with suspension tweaks, and took a number of people to participate. I was lucky enough to get in on time and that little car was fun to drive around the cones!

Looks great. Maybe I'll be fortunate enough to see your car on the streets since I live in the san gabriel valley.:xyxthumbs

 A Mazdaspeed6! How do you like it so far?

Beautiful detail, btw. Looks great in the shade as well as under the harsh lights. :)

Wow really cool color and outstanding job. That black looks so wet and glossy it's ridiculous.

I have the same problem in my vw..the current chiptuning pulls back boost before redline and it's so annoying, I always short shift. Working on a remedy as soon as I get a minute.
